On November 13, 2015, the School of General Studies of the University of Puerto Rico received our team and our special guests from both public and private entities in a celebration of the achievements of special people that overcome everyday significant visual, auditory, intellectual, sensory, neurological, mobility and/or  speech challenges, among others.  Their stories of achievement are a living example of how the support and dedication of parents and relatives, together with teachers, professionals in various fields, government institutions, academia and the private sector, have paved the way so they can achieve their dreams and improve their quality of life.
